About the project

Adventures in Gastroland is an Erasmus+ project established by three countries of Europe to find ways to motivate our children and raise their interest in learning by trying out the best practices of the part taking members of the cooperation. The used methods include gastro-pedagogy and project method in which the pupils will learn by playful activities without the realization of real learning. The activities are done with the aim of keeping in mind the sustainable future. We divided our project into four parts where the pupils will deal with fruit, grains, herbals and vegetables e.g. making videos about their growth, examining their origin and their usage in nutrition and their overall usage around the households. Pupils will make recipes and their teachers will guide them through these processes. Our colleagues will make lesson plans and we will collect these in a booklet to hand out to be used by other teachers suitably altered or in new projects in the future. We aimed to develop students competencies in several fields so that they can acquire information easier and their motivation and active participation will contribute to their success in their studies. They will learn to work together, be open minded and sociable. Their grades will get better in the lessons where the new methods are applied. Our colleagues will benefit from project by experiencing and sharing best practices, getting familiar with new methods which help their pedagogical renewal.
